C Family | family session {Huntington WV family photographer}

I got so excited when this sweet mama called me and said she wanted to schedule another session– I’ve loved her (and her family) since their last session, back in 2013 (which you can see here— you won’t believe how the children have grown!)  A lot changes in 3 years!  The kiddos are still absolutely beautiful but I really felt like their personalities shined brightly in this session.  We went to one of my favorite locations and spent time running, skipping, climbing trees (yes, that happened!) and chasing a few ducks.  I even let the kids try taking a few snaps with my camera, which they loved!  I am so glad to be working again with them and look forward to seeing them again soon!

I *LOVED* this one in black and white– so beautiful!

Just for me… a little nature break

Check out this beautiful scene from my session the other night.  Sometimes, you just have to stop and take it all in…so much beauty all around us that is easy to miss when we’re in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  I’m glad I took a moment after my session to compose this shot– I think it’s going to look beautiful framed in my house! 😉

This session….this family…where do I even begin??

First, you have to know that the mom is my best friend in the world– my day is not complete without our phone calls, silly texts, “I’m about to lose it this minute” talking each other down, life moments.  Her kiddos are best, too!!  Her son Bradley leaves for college this fall- how is that even possible?? It was important for us to commemorate their last autumn with everyone under one roof, so I traveled to their home and had an amazing afternoon with them, capturing their family all together.

I secretly want to share their entire session with you because it was beyond perfect… but here’s a snippet.  I love them all (the pics, and the people! 😉

H Family {Huntington WV family photographer}

I met this fun family when they purchased my Empty Bowls session at last year’s event. I was so excited when they called and we scheduled their appointment– we met at one of my favorite locations and had a great time updating their family photos (I think mom said it has been YEARS since they had photos taken!) So glad to be able to help them refresh their walls! 🙂

Special Project- MU Health Canvas Display {Marshall University photographer}

Remember the displays I did for the Department of Neuroscience at Marshall?  Well, you know what they say about good news– it travels fast!  This time it traveled to another division of the hospital who decided that they, too, wanted their own Captured Bliss display area!  I arranged these 2 displays in the new Physician Referral Line office.  The lovely staff members in the office were absolutely thrilled to get something pretty on their walls and they were so patient with me as I installed the pieces and got completely in their way. 😉  I cannot express my excitement at knowing my work is up for the public to see- it absolutely makes my heart sing! 🙂

Display 1-

1 20×30 canvas and 3 11x14s

These were from a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo (owl shot) and the robin’s nest that was in our tree last year.  I love this arrangement.

Display 2- 1 20×30 and 4 16x20s

Please excuse the phone pics- I didn’t have my camera with me! 🙂
