I had the wonderful pleasure of capturing sweet baby Savannah’s first session and she was a champion! She was so peaceful and calm and I loved all the posing and “looks” we made together. I wanted to snuggle her forever but had to turn her over to Mommy. 🙁 A few days later, I headed to her house for some on-location work with her two adorable big brothers…I loved their superhero theme!! All in all…one of my favorite sessions and with a favorite family, too!! 🙂

There is perhaps nothing in my work life that I love more than a newborn session. I love capturing these first glimpses into this tiny new life…itty bitty fingers and toes and baby rolls. I love that even though these days are so fleeting, parents can look back on them and remember what life was like when baby was brand new.
I especially love when moms let me “turn loose” to style the session! I bought the little red Radio Flyer wagon especially for baby Max’s arrival and chose to pull out the cute grey Aiden and Anais blankets that I’ve used for past little boys. I almost DIED when his mom showed me that tiny baby tie– how adorable! Max had some trickery up his tiny baby sleeve at first– falling asleep hard in my arms but waking straight up when I tried to pose him. Thankfully, mom had packed a couple bottles and we discovered that he just needed a little “topping off” before he snuggled in for a nice long nap. I’m in love with the images from his session!
Suns out– teeny, tiny baby guns out!
I can’t wait to see sweet Max again! His mom is planning to participate in the Client Loyalty Program, which means I should see him at least two more times this year– woo hoo! I can’t wait to see how he grows and changes and to snuggle him again. Thank you, Mommy Kim, for choosing CBP and thank you baby Max for being just plain awesome!
Oh my word. Where do I even begin? This precious princess came to me at just a few days old for her session- and boy, was she amazing! Once we got her tummy full and her body all warmed up she slept like a champion. I wished she could have stayed ALL day long! One other thing I loved about her– her family is AMAZING– seriously the nicest folks you could ever hope to meet! I am so thankful our paths crossed and they’ve joined the CBP family– because I can’t wait to work together again!
I can’t even tell you how precious, how incredibly special these baby boys are!! Their parents have been friends with my husband and me for 13 years now and we love their family dearly. They have the most amazing big brother (my favorite part of the anticipation waiting for them was listening to big brother P exclaim, “I’m having twin babies!!!!”) You’ve never seen two babies rock their newborn session better than these two, either!!! They snuggled in and slept so soundly- I swear we could have worked all day!
Thank you, Mom and Dad, for the absolute honor and privilege of capturing these amazing moments for you! I hope you love all the photos- I certainly do!!!
