I get asked A LOT about what’s in my camera bag. You can rest assured that in addition to investing in the very best equipment available to me, I have backed that with countless hours of photography workshops, forums, classes, and education. There is truly NO substitution for knowing how to operate your camera and how to adjust to changing conditions– even the best camera in the world can’t save you if you don’t know what to do!
I highly recommend that anyone who is interested in beginning a photography business take their time in choosing not only their camera, but also the knowledge base that is required to run an effective business (and to know your camera inside and out!). This job is not easy– it’s a one-woman show over here!– but it is one I love and am honored to be able to do.
Here’s what you’ll find inside my bag (which is an adorable green Kelly Moore Libby, by the way!) 🙂
– Canon 5D Mark IV
I began my business and worked for over 18 months with a Canon Rebel xTi– proof that you don’t need the best equipment to practice and learn the craft before investing in something more.
– Canon 24-70mm 2.8L
-Canon 100mm 2.8L macro
-Canon 24-105mm f/4L
-Canon 70-300mm f/4L
In addition to my equipment, I edit every session using Adobe Lightroom and use Photoshop for anything extra.
Now you know what’s in my bag– I’d love to know what’s in yours!! Shoot me a message or comment on my Facebook page and let me know!
